THE LAS CRUCES INTERNATIONAL FILM LAS CRUCES, NEW MEXICO — The Las Cruces International Film will be hosting a poster reveal party, taking place at the Las Cruces Museum of Nature & Science from 6 to 9 p.m. Jan. 21.
Each year the Las Cruces International Film Festival commissions a local artist to create the artwork for our commemorative poster. This year we are excited to announce that artist Mary Beagle created the LCIFF seventh annual poster and will be attending the 2022 poster release party, signing copies of the poster for event attendees.
Beagle, has primarily worked with oil on canvas. Her paintings reflect her love of Native and Latino cultures and celebrations by incorporating geometric or Native designs in her compositions to complement the faces and figures she paints. She attended the Southwest Stone
Carving Workshop in Jemez Springs, NM, and found a new medium of expression in limestone, alabaster, calcite, and marble, while working with nationally known sculptors, Rollie Grandbois, Cliff Fragua, Jon DeCelles, Tim Nicola, T. Barney, and others.
Tickets to the Poster Reveal Party are $25. VIP passes will be offered for $100 at the party. Ticketing information is available online at www.lascrucesfilmfest.com or at Eventbrite.com Food, drinks, and live music will accompany the festivities.
