Las Cruces, NM — The Las Cruces International Film Festival (LCIFF) is thrilled to announce that the much anticipated film “She Dances,” featuring acclaimed actor Steve Zahn, will serve as the Opening Night Film for this year’s celebration on April 8, 2024. Join us for an extraordinary evening of cinema with the film’s star, Steve Zahn, in attendance for a special Q&A session following the screening.
“She Dances” is a heartfelt exploration of love, loss, and the transformative power of dance, weaving together the stories of four parallel lives linked by the rhythm of music and movement. Directed by talented filmmaker Rick Gomez from a screenplay by Zahn and Gomez, the film captivates with its stunning visuals, emotional depth, and a remarkable performance by Zahn, who takes on the role of Jason, a struggling father seeking redemption and connection through the art he loves. The film also features Ethan Hawke and Audrey Zahn
giving a “fantastic debut performance.”

The 11th annual Las Cruces International Film Festival promises to be an unforgettable experience, showcasing a diverse lineup of over 160 films from both emerging and established filmmakers, along with engaging panels, workshops, and networking opportunities. Celebrated actor Michael Rooker will be in attendance to receive the festival’s prestigious Outstanding Achievement in Entertainment award after a screening of “Guardians of The Galaxy Vol. 2” on April 9th.
