Save the Date: The 2027 Las Cruces International Film Festival Returns April 14–18, 2027
LAS CRUCES, N.M. — The Las Cruces International Film Festival (LCIFF), presented by
Nusenda Credit Union, Visit Las Cruces, the City of Las Cruces, Doña Ana County, New
Mexico True, and Allen Theatres, has announced that its 2027 festival has been rescheduled
to April 14–18, 2027, marking the festival’s 12th year of celebrating independent filmmaking
and cinematic storytelling.
Originally scheduled for earlier dates in April, the festival has adjusted its schedule to better
accommodate programming, industry guests, and overall event logistics. The new dates will
help ensure LCIFF continues to deliver the exceptional experience that filmmakers,
students, sponsors, and audiences have come to expect while creating even more
opportunities for engaging screenings, educational programming, networking, and special
events.
Organized by the Creative Media Institute at New Mexico State University, the Las Cruces
International Film Festival is recognized as the largest student-run film festival in the nation.
Each year, the festival welcomes filmmakers, actors, producers, directors, students, and film
enthusiasts from around the world for five days of film screenings, educational panels,
hands-on workshops, networking opportunities, and exclusive events celebrating the art
and business of filmmaking.

sponsors, volunteers, and attendees,” said the festival’s organizing team. “This schedule
adjustment allows us to build an even stronger festival experience, and we look forward to

Film submissions currently in progress will not be affected by the schedule change.
