ACTOR WILLIAM H. MACY TO RECEIVE LAS CRUCES INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL “OUTSTANDING ACHIEVEMENT IN ENTERTAINMENT” AWARD. 

 

LAS CRUCES, NEW MEXICO— On March 3rd, 2022, the Las Cruces International Film Festival will honor Academy Award nominated actor William H. Macy with its prestigious “Outstanding Achievement in Entertainment” award. Mr. Macy will be on hand to accept the award in Las Cruces. Mr. Macy will screen his Academy Award winning film “Fargo” at the Allen Theatres Cineport at 7pm and host a question-and-answer session with the audience. In the afternoon, Mr. Macy will speak at New Mexico State University about his long and esteemed career.  That evening at the LCIFF VIP Party at Amador Bar & Grill in Las Cruces, Mr. Macy will receive his “Outstanding Achievement in Entertainment” award. Past recipients of the LCIFF celebrated award include Danny Trejo, Brendan Fraser, George Lopez, Cybill Shepherd and Richard Dreyfuss. William H. Macy is an Oscar and Golden Globe nominee, an Emmy and SAG Award winning actor, and a writer in theater, film, and television. Most recently he starred in the Showtime series SHAMELESS, for which he was nominated twice for a Best Actor Emmy Award and has won twice for the SAG Award. Macy’s film credits include SEABISCUIT, THE COOLER, MAGNOLIA, BOOGIE NIGHTS, JURASSIC PARK III, FARGO, TNT’S DOOR TO DOOR, WILD HOGS, and ROOM. William H. Macy made his feature directorial debut with RUDDERLESS, the closing film at the 2014 Sundance Film Festival. THE LAYOVER, his second film, was released in 2017 followed by his third film, KRYSTAL, in April of 2018. In addition, Macy is a founding member of the Atlantic Theater Company.
