Opening Night

The Las Cruces International Film Festival will kick off this year’s event with a special two screen Opening Night showing of “Rose” at Las Cruces’ Cineport 10.

The film follows Rose (Shepherd), a recently disabled and widowed ex-cop, who discovers that she may have a life-threatening illness. She decides to go on a solo road trip in a motorized wheelchair through New Mexico in an effort to reconcile with her estranged son and make her peace with life.

Both Shepherd and Grier, who star in the film, will be on hand afterward to answer questions from the audience. An afterparty with Shepherd and Grier is also available for VIP ticket holders.
